St Paul De Vence and a Vineyard Visit

Hi guys!

Wednesday was a trip to the beautiful Saint Paul De Vence. It’s an older, artistic village about an hour away from Eze, the village where we are staying at.

The scenery at Saint Paul De Vence is just breathtaking. One of the first thing we noticed when we arrived to the city was the busy little market. It was filled with pastries, meats, produce and SOCCA!! My lovely twin friends, Lori and Michelle from Pure2Raw had mentioned that I NEEDED to try it so I didn’t have to think about it, I just handed 2 euros to get a fresh, out of the wood burning oven, SOCCA!

Even the process of making it and cutting it was cool to see (none were ready when I ordered one).

The verdict?

HOLY!! I shared this deliciousness with my family and they all agreed that it was delectable!! Thanks Lori and Michelle!!! What a great recommendation:) I could see why you ladies loved it!! I may have to get it again if I see if being sold in Cannes today;)

After more sightseeing in the village, we stopped for lunch at Le Vieux Moulin.

Ok I know I keep saying that everywhere we go was delicious but this place may have topped it off.

I went for the Mignon de Veau with Gnocchi.

Oh me oh my! It was definitely a heavier lunch;) And you won’t believe what I had for desert….

Yeap, I totally went there and I don’t regret a thing. I will gladly have bigger hips and arms for this bowl of AWESOME. It was truly a winner.

After lunch we were on our way to visit a French Vineyard!! I was so excited has I’ve never been to one before.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the cutest pup.

After a long time of petting and baby voice talking (yeap, I totally give dogs the baby voice). We were lead to their wine tasting room.

After being informed that this was the smallest vineyard in all of France, we realized it was going to be a short visit.

They made us try the Red, White and Rose wine.

And some fig jam – I am OBSESSED!

Loved the red and so did the rest of my family! So we proceeded to buy the jam and some red bottles:)

Although my first experience at a vineyard wasn’t what I expected (my sister has been in Italy and they sat down on a gorgeous terrace with a beautiful view), I’m still excited to have been there and cannot wait to visit another one with Andrew:)

The internet has been on and off so I have yet to update you on our trip to St Tropez on Thursday and our shopping trip to Cannes yesterday!  I’ll update tonight with our travels to St Tropez!

Much love,
